The UT Permian Basin golf team had their best year in program history during the 2023-24 season. The men’s team earned their first ever tournament victory, broke several records throughout the season and had the Lone Star Conference golfer of the year (Sangha Park) - who also earned All-American honors. The success they had during the season led to being seeded No. 4 in the South Central Region out of 10 teams.
The women’s team also had a strong season as they had multiple top-six finishes and had two golfers - Ainhoa Gurruchaga (Newcomer of the Year) and Arnie Taguines (Second Team All-Conference) earn LSC honors. Taguines went on to qualify for the NCAA West Regional tournament.
